51ยายื recently hosted a virtual town hall meeting on Microsoft Teams for about 215 supervisors and planning unit leaders to share the latest happenings and best practices for dealing with the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

As part of our commitment to keeping the faculty and staff of 51ยายื informed, University Human Resources is pleased to share this pertinent update regarding the new Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA).

We write today to remind you that until further notice, only staff whose work is deemed critical to current operations are to report to work on campus.

UHR reminds supervisors that an annual performance evaluation must be completed for all administrative and classified staff. 

The purpose of this notice is to increase the awareness of an essential federal compliance issue and to ask for your assistance in ensuring that 51ยายื is 100% compliant.

This  Personal Effectiveness certificate is designed to improve knowledge and skills associated with building, maintaining, and improving personal and professional effectiveness. 

On January 17, 2020 the 51ยายื Board of Trustees approved a resolution authorizing the University to establish and implement an ERIP for AFSCME Residential Custodial and Custodial Staff.

On January 22, 2020, 51ยายื received notice that Ohio Council 8, AFSCME, AFL-CIO, filed with the State Employment Relations Board a Request for Recognition on behalf of all full-time and regular part-time classified employees at 51ยายื.
