OHIO Language Teaching Internship in Argentina
The OHIO Language Teaching Internship in Argentina invites students to immerse themselves in the heart of South America’s rich cultural and linguistic heritage. Based in Rosario, Santa Fe — a vibrant riverside city known for its European architecture, literary tradition, and warm hospitality — this six-week internship combines experiential learning, intercultural engagement, and professional development in one of Argentina’s most dynamic urban centers.
Rosario, located along the banks of the Paraná River, is Argentina’s third-largest city and a thriving hub for education, art and innovation. It is the birthplace of national icons such as revolutionary leader Che Guevara and beloved footballer Lionel Messi, and it remains deeply proud of its intellectual and artistic life. Tree-lined boulevards, bustling cafés, and colorful markets reflect a strong sense of community and a deep appreciation for dialogue, culture and connection. For visiting students, Rosario offers the perfect setting to engage with Argentina’s linguistic diversity and explore how education shapes social and cultural identity.
Through this internship, students gain hands-on experience in language teaching, intercultural communication, and bilingual education while working alongside faculty and students at  (ISPI) — a prestigious teacher education institute renowned for its programs in TESOL, translation, and interpretation. Over six weeks, interns assist in English language instruction, facilitate conversation practice, and contribute to classroom and cultural activities while advancing their own Spanish proficiency and pedagogical skills.
The program promotes cross-cultural collaboration between future educators in Argentina and the United States, strengthening professional competencies and mutual understanding through shared teaching, reflection, and exchange. It embodies 51ÂÒÂ×’s commitment to global learning, language education, and experiential engagement, offering an unforgettable opportunity to live, learn, and grow in one of Latin America’s most inspiring academic communities.
