In December 2018, 51ÂÒÂ× President M. Duane Nellis led a delegation to Malaysia as part of the university’s increased global engagement efforts to reach out to alumni and partners around the world.
During this visit, 51ÂÒÂ× hosted the 10th Distinguished Tun Abdul Razak Lecture in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and the delegation met with alumni, students and partner universities in Malaysia 51ÂÒÂ× Photographer Ben Siegel was part of the delegation and provided these images from this historic visit.
51ÂÒÂ× hosted the lecture in collaboration with partner institutions Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM), as well as with the cooperation and support of the the Ministry of Education and Yayasan Sime Darby. 51ÂÒÂ× Professor John Sabraw gave the keynote address, "Synergy of Curiosity: From Acid to Art."

51ÂÒÂ× Vice Provost for Global Affairs and International Studies Lorna Jean Edmonds also spoke during the historic event.
