Presidential Service Award

The Presidential Service Award is presented annually to an 51ĀŅĀ× faculty member to celebrate excellence in service as acknowledged by peers, students, and/or community members. Those awarded are recognized for their efforts and impact on the university, local, national, and/or global level through community engagement. Each recipient will hold the title of Presidential Service Award Winner for three years.

Nominations

All OHIO faculty members, professional staff, department chairs, students, and community members may nominate applicants. Applicants can also self–nominate. Nominees must be full-time, tenured faculty (Associate Professor or Professor) from one of 51ĀŅĀ×'s campuses.

  • Note: Those making nominations who are unsure about whether the faculty member they wish to nominate is a tenured faculty member should check the prospective nominee’s regional campus, department, or school website.

Announcements inviting nominations will be sent out campus-wide during fall semester of each year. While multiple nominations for the same person are gladly accepted, they do not increase that person's chances of being selected as a Presidential Service Award Winner.

Deadline for service award nominations is October 15.
