Healthy OHIO is offering health screenings facilitated by the 51ĀŅĀ× School of Nursing and online scheduling is now open. 

ā€œThis partnership strengthens both programs by aligning with the Dynamic Strategy,ā€ said Annie Laure Cadmus, associate director of Healthy OHIO. ā€œWeā€™re proud to offer high-quality care to employees while supporting student experiential learning.ā€

Cadmus explained that conducting an annual health screening is recommended to ensure individuals have a snapshot of their health to make informed decisions about goals and opportunities for improved well-being.

Who can participate

51ĀŅĀ× employees enrolled in the medical plan, and their benefits-enrolled spouse/partner, can now schedule their biometric health screening at any of the following events, regardless of their campus affiliation.

Screening dates

This yearā€™s biometric health screening dates and locations are provided on the Biometric Health Screening website.

In an effort to improve event accessibility on the Athens campus, additional event offerings have been scheduled this fall as compared to previous years. Each event will be strategically located in a different area of campus to ensure employees on all areas of main campus have access to a screening, should they wish to attend. 

Some regional campus events have transitioned to the fall semester this fiscal year.

A majority of events will occur in October and early November, so eligible individuals are encouraged to schedule their screening as soon as possible. 

Online scheduling is now open

Employee paying the benefits: 

• Step one: Sign the online .
• Step two: Upon completion of the online Consent Form, you will be directed to your scheduling link. Please do not share that link with others. 

Spouse/Partner* of the employee paying the benefits: 

• Step one: Enroll in Personify Health (formerly called Virgin Pulse).
  • If you are already enrolled, proceed to step two.
  • If you are not enrolled, please use the online instructions to do so. You must wait one week before proceeding to step two so you can be added to the eligibility file.
• Step two: Sign the online .
• Step three: Upon completion of the online Consent Form, you will be directed to your scheduling link. Please do not share that link with others.

A validated consent form must be signed before scheduling an appointment. For that reason, walk-ins will not be permitted this year. 

*Please note: A person is categorized as ā€œspouse/partnerā€ in this program if they are married or a domestic partner to an OHIO employee who pays for the benefits, even if that person is an OHIO employee themselves.

Incentives

Eligible participants will receive $60** added to the paycheck of the benefits-carrier. It will appear on a pay slip under the line item of "Healthy OHIO." Please note that it can take up to a full quarter following the close of the participation window for payouts to appear on a pay slip.

**The payout, taxed as income, appears on the paycheck of the benefits-carrier within one quarter of the conclusion of the screening window.

Alternative option

Individuals who cannot, or do not wish to, participate in an on-campus screening event can still utilize the Physician Screening Form option.
