After You Apply as a Freshman
Access Your Applicant Status Portal
Your applicant status portal is where you can check your application status and view your next steps. After you apply, you will receive an email from 51ÂÒÂ× Undergraduate Admissions at the email address you listed on your application with instructions for accessing your personalized portal. You will also find information there about required next steps, upcoming visits and events and ways to stay connected with OHIO during the admissions process.
Submit Required Additional Materials
Some programs have more selective criteria above and beyond general admission guidelines and require submission of additional application materials. You should review the requirements for your major and submit any additional required materials.
Programs with More Selective Admission Guidelines for Freshmen Students
Check Your Application Status
You can check your application status any time in your applicant status portal. Statuses are updated at least nightly. Please remember that while we may have received your application materials, we can provide updates only on those materials that have been processed. After an item is received, it may take up to two weeks for it to be processed.

Students who are not initially admitted to the University or, in some cases, to a more selective program, may appeal the decision. Appeals, including supporting documents, may be submitted via the applicant status portal.
