51ĀŅĀ× is proud to announce that the Academic Achievement Centerā€™s (AAC) Peer-Assisted Learning (PAL) Program has earned re-accreditation from the International Center for Supplemental Instruction at the University of Missouriā€“Kansas City. This recognition affirms 51ĀŅĀ×ā€™s continued commitment to academic excellence and student success through evidence-based learning support.

The PAL Program, which provides collaborative learning sessions for historically challenging courses, helps students strengthen understanding, build confidence, and develop long-term study skills. The International Centerā€™s re-accreditation acknowledges that 51ĀŅĀ×ā€™s program meets the highest global standards for supplemental instruction, including peer leadership, training, and assessment practices.

51ĀŅĀ×ā€™s PAL Program serves thousands of students each year, with demonstrated impact on academic performance and retention. Students who regularly attend PAL sessions consistently earn higher grades and report greater confidence in their coursework compared to peers who do not participate.

Originally developed at the University of Missouriā€“Kansas City in 1973, Supplemental Instruction (SI) has since grown into an internationally recognized model for peer-assisted academic support. 51ĀŅĀ× has been an accredited program site since 2022, and this re-accreditation ensures the PAL Program remains aligned with international best practices.
