51ĀŅĀ× Chillicotheā€Ænursing students will host a Community Health Fair on Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 51ĀŅĀ× Chillicotheā€™s Bennett Hall, located at 101 University Drive in Chillicothe.

This free event, which is open to the public, welcomes individuals of all ages to explore a variety of educational booths focused on health and wellness. Topics will include hygiene, internet safety, vector-borne illness prevention (ticks and mosquitoes), social media use, recognizing opioid overdose symptoms and using naloxone, sun safety/skin cancer prevention, heart health, nutrition, and anti-bullying.

The fair will showcase interactive exhibits developed and presented by 51ĀŅĀ×ā€™s nursing students as part of their community health coursework.

The Ross County Health District (RCHD) will offer Flu and COVID-19 vaccines in Bennett Hall between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 14, and between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 15. RCHD accepts most insurance plans. Recipients must have their insurance ID card available to receive the benefit. The cost without accepted insurance coverage is $30.

ā€œWeā€™re excited to contribute to improving the health and well-being of the members of the Chillicothe and Ross County communities through education and collaboration,ā€ said Assistant Professor of Instruction Angel Hardiesty-Kelley. ā€œOur nursing students can practice the skills they are learning in class and apply their knowledge for the betterment of our neighbors through community health initiatives like this.ā€
