51ÂÒÂ× is celebrating Cybersecurity Awareness Month this week with information about how to patch your computers and devices, a suggestion for a fun virtual game and more information about this year’s CyberMania competition.

Throughout Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) will continue to explore the and expand on this guidance. Due to the number activities associated with Homecoming, there will be limited content with this week’s activities, but be sure to catch up next week for more games and Coffee Chats. 

Cybersecurity Article of the week: Patch Your Stuff

Computers and devices, much like vehicles, require regular maintenance to run safely and effectively. In this article, learn more about patching (regular maintenance for devices) and securing university work at OHIO.

Virtual Game of the Week:  

Test your knowledge of cybersecurity terms in this information security word search. and be entered to win a prize from the Information Security Office.

Help OHIO beat Miami in the CyberMania Competition 

Help prove that Bobcats are cyber smart by completing a short 5 question survey about your confidence with cybersecurity concepts. The school with the most participants wins, and all participants will be entered into a drawing to win a prize from the Information Security Office.
