Cybersecurity Awareness Month events include Coffee Chat, virtual games, competition

51ĀŅĀ× is celebrating the 22nd anniversary of Cybersecurity Awareness Month with informational content and games for all students, faculty and staff. 

As we enter the second week of Cybersecurity Awareness Month, we will continue to explore the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency's and expand on this guidance with the week’s activities. 

Cybersecurity Article of the week: OHIO Goes Passwordless: A New Era in Authentication

Passwordless is a new way to authenticate to University services. It provides a more secure and convenient method of authentication. Check out this article to explore the benefits and learn how to configure your account with passwordless authentication.

Virtual Game of the Week:

Test your knowledge of cybersecurity terms in this information security crossword puzzle. and be entered to win a prize from the Information Security Office.

Oct. 8 Cybersecurity Coffee Chat: Understanding the IT Vendor Review Process

Join OHIO representatives for a virtual session from 8:30-10 am as they provide an overview of the IT Vendor Review Process. Understand how the process works, what is evaluated from a security, accessibility, and privacy perspective, and how you can best prepare for the process to ensure your procurement is effective and efficient.

Help OHIO beat Miami in the 3rd Annual CyberMania Competition 

Help us prove that Bobcats are cyber smart by completing a short 5 question survey about your confidence with cybersecurity concepts. The school with the most participants wins, and all participants will be entered into a drawing to win a prize from the Information Security Office.
