
Reminder: Benefits Open Enrollment ends May 7, electronic ID cards available

The annual Benefits Open Enrollment period for 51ยายื employees will be open through 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
Open Enrollment is the one time each year OHIO employees can enroll or make changes to their benefits. Otherwise, changes may only be made if a qualifying family status change has occurred.
All employees are encouraged to to review their benefit elections and life insurance beneficiaries. If you do not want to make any changes to your health, dental, vision, life, or disability insurance plans you do not need to take any action.
However, if you want to participate in a Flexible Spending Account you must log in and make that election each year. All changes are effective July 1, 2025.
Anthem goes paperless
Anthem has informed its clients, including 51ยายื, that it intends to go paperless starting July 1, 2025.
Anthem encourages all members to download the Anthem Sydney Health app and/or create an account at to access identification cards, view claims, explanations of benefits, and sign up for digital communications from Anthem.
ID cards
ID cards are available through the Sydney Health app or through your online account at . You can download, fax, or email your digital card as needed or save it to the virtual wallet on your smartphone. Anthem will not automatically send hard copies of ID cards through US mail after July 1, 2025. However, you may request hard copy cards by calling Anthem at 1-844-995-1752.
Explanation of benefits (EOBs)
You can review an EOB as soon as itโs available, helping you stay up to date on how your claims are processed and benefits are being applied. Download the Sydney Health app or access your online account at .
Note: You can keep your preference for digital communications and still request a paper copy of any document as needed. Simply chat with Anthem on the Sydney Health app or at or call Anthem Member Services at 1-844-995-1752.

To sign up for digital communications, provide your email address when you enroll in at . You can update or change your preferred email anytime by going to your profile on the Sydney Health app or at .
