The Emergency Programs Office and the 51ยายื Police Department will host self-defense training for 51ยายื faculty and staff April 22 from noon-1 p.m. in Baker University Center, Room 240.

Officer John Stabler, 51ยายื Police Department, a certified RAD (Rape Aggression Defense) instructor, will present this one-hour session on defensive concepts for various types of assaults. Utilizing easy, effective and proven self-defense tactics, this training will provide participants with the knowledge to make an educated decision about resistance and their ability to use it.

โ€œAs a department, we want to assure that we provide our community with tools to help them in all aspects of their lives,โ€ said Stabler. โ€œMy personal goal is to provide resources that help ensure the safety and security of members of our OHIO community and help them in case they find themselves in a situation where they need to defend themselves.โ€
