Dress for Success
The OHIO Lancaster Cats' Closet is an on-campus resource that provides professional attire to all 51ยายื students and alumni seeking employment. This is especially helpful for students or alumni who are transitioning into the workforce or trying to upgrade their wardrobes for job interviews or professional events.
The Cats' Closet offers a variety of clothing items, including suits, dresses, shoes and accessories, allowing every 51ยายื student and alumni to present themselves in a professional and confident manner.
The goal of the OHIO Lancaster Cats' Closet is to remove financial barriers that may prevent students with a need from looking and feeling their best during the internship and job search process. We feel it is important to put your best foot forward as you embark on a job search and are working towards your career goals.
Sizes and Availability
We aim to provide a variety of sizes and styles, but due to limited resources, we cannot guarantee the availability of all sizes and styles.
Accessibility
The Cats' Closet is open to all currently enrolled 51ยายื students or alumni. The items are free of charge and do not need to be returned.
Donate to the Cats' Closet
We accept clothing donations on an ongoing basis. Aside from individual donations, OHIO Lancaster student clubs and organizations support the Cats' Closet by holding periodic clothing drives.
When donating, please consider the following guidelines:
- All clothing must be clean and free of stains, tears, rips, or obvious malfunctions
- The clothing should be of excellent quality and was purchased in the last five years/or is in line with current fashion trends
- Clothing must be professional and interview appropriate
If you would like to donate, please contact sbogdewiecz@ohio.edu. The Cats' Closet will work with you to collect the clothing or schedule a convenient drop off time. Note: All donations are tax deductible.
Current Donation Needs
The process of restocking the OHIO Cats' Closet for the upcoming academic year is now underway. Please click the women's and men's business attire sections to learn more details about the items needed in the Cats' Closet.
Women's Business Attire
- Suits and separates (jackets, blazers, pants, skirts, and dresses)
- Collared shirts and blouses in solid colors or with small patterns
- Black or brown simple belts
- Black, brown, or nude closed toes shoes (flat or less than three-inch heels)
- New dress socks
- New sheer or opaque hosiery (tights, pantyhose, nylons) in black or nude
- Fashion scarves
- Handbags in neutral colors
- Generally, items that are no more than five (5) years old and are in good condition
Men's Business Attire
- Suits and separates (jackets, blazers, and pants) in neutral colors (black, navy, gray, khaki)
- Collared shirts in light and non-bold colors, solid or small patterns
- Solid color ties or ties with small patterns
- Black or brown simple belts
