Judy Carey Nevin

Manager of Library Services
Judy Carey Nevin is the Manager of Library Services at Ohio Lancaster, where she has served since 2020, following eight years as Director of the Hannah V. McCauley Library. In her role, she manages the campus library鈥檚 daily operations, including collection development, budgeting, OhioLINK services, and staff supervision. Judy also contributes to numerous campus and university-wide committees focused on strategic planning, equity, and academic support.
With over 20 years of experience in academic librarianship鈥攊ncluding previous roles at Otterbein University and Piedmont Virginia Community College鈥擩udy is known for her thoughtful leadership, commitment to student-centered services, and strong engagement in professional collaboration across Ohio鈥檚 academic library network.
Judy holds a Master of Library Science degree from Rutgers University with a focus on Children鈥檚 and Youth Services, and a Bachelor of Science in Management Science/Accounting from SUNY Geneseo.
Outside of higher education, Judy is also a published children鈥檚 book author, with titles including What Daddies Like, What Mommies Like, All Kids Are Good Kids, and All Kinds of Kindness. Her books are known for their warmth, inclusivity, and celebration of kindness.
Judy is married to Dr. Mark Nevin, Assistant Professor of American History on the OHIO Lancaster campus. Together, they are raising a math-obsessed daughter who keeps them both on their toes.
