Overview
Enjoy inspirational scenery and immerse yourself in the unique language and culture of Wales with a semester or academic year on exchange at Swansea University. The University is set in rolling parklands overlooking the Swansea Bay with fresh sea air, gorgeous beaches and a safe environment.
SU welcomes students form 100 countries every year and has a long international tradition.  The staff are supportive and accustomed to working with international exchange students. At SU you are able to choose a variety of courses to fulfill major, minor and general education requirements.
Living Arrangements
Students will live in university accommodations (dorms) or shared flats (apartments) located close to campus. 
Program Dates
Actual dates will vary based on host institutions academic calendar, but below are estimated timeframes.
- Fall Semester: mid September – late December
- Spring Semester: mid January – late June
- Academic Year: mid September – late June (not available 2024-25)

Courses are available in many majors including American studies, computer sciences, development studies, economics, English, geography, history, languages, literature, math, media studies, music, physics, political science, psychology, and social policy. 
are listed as credit points. A typical semester load is 60 credit points (15 OHIO semester credits) and an academic year is 120 credit points (30 OHIO semester credits).  TB1 is equivalent to Fall semester, and TB2 is equivalent to Spring semester.
Courses in Biology, Chemistry, Philosophy, Health Science and Sports Science may have limited availability to 51ÂÒÂ× students.

Non-program-related entertainment, souvenirs, and additional travel are not included in the cost estimate and should be budgeted separately.

Eligibility
This program is open to undergraduate students with a GPA of 2.8 or above. Students should have completed one year of study at the time of travel.
Students who will be on probation at any point during the program for a conduct offense that took place less than a calendar year from the program start date may not study abroad. Read the entire conduct policy.
This program does not accepts NON-OHIO students.
Application Requirements
This program requires applicants to submit:
- A personal statement: A 1 - 2 page typed essay about yourself, your academic and career interests, and your motivation for studying abroad on this particular program.
- 2 reference letters
- A DARS:
- A course list: This program requires a listing of the 8-10 host institution courses that you would be interested in taking while studying overseas and their description.
Entry and Exit Requirements
U.S. citizens are required to have a valid U.S. passport when traveling outside of the United States. If you plan to study or travel abroad in the next year,   â¶Ä¯n´Ç·É.&²Ô²ú²õ±è;
US citizens studying at Swansea University for one semester will not need a visa to enter the UK, however academic year students will apply for a visa. Please note that visa requirements may vary if you plan to stay in the country longer than the program dates or travel to other countries during or after the program. Please familiarize yourself with these recommendations and requirements prior to applying to a program.
