Cashnet is now Transact Payments


In 2016 Cashnet was acquired by Transact, the leader in innovative payment solutions for a connected campus.  In alignment with Transact’s launch of their , Cashnet has been rebranded as Transact Payments.  Expect to start seeing more references to Transact Payments as we begin to retire usage of the ā€œCashnetā€ name. Transact Payments is the cashiering system used by the Office of the Bursar and regional campus student service offices.  It also provides the ePayment solution for students making online payment of tuition and fees and eMarket solutions for University departments. 

Sustainability Series in full swing at the Athena Cinema


The  at the  is in full swing and takes place on select Wednesdays. The series remains free to community members and 51ĀŅĀ× students.

Products on Backorder


Purchasing has been in contact with departments across the University regarding an increase in the instances of backordered items or orders not being filled due to vendor out of stock situations. As many of you are aware and may have experienced personally, there is large scale disruption in the world supply chain. Items are out of stock/on backorder for many reasons that are evolving daily, including global shipping bottlenecks, shortages of raw materials or manufacturing components, labor shortages, and manufacturing shutdowns.

51ĀŅĀ× releases additional details about 2022 voluntary separation or retirement program for Athens campus faculty


As announced last month, 51ĀŅĀ× will offer a voluntary separation or retirement program (VSRP) for eligible Athens campus faculty.  

51ĀŅĀ× becomes an affiliate of Bee Campus USA


51ĀŅĀ× has become an affiliate of the Bee Campus USA program, designed to marshal the strengths of educational campuses for the benefit of pollinators. 

Flu, Covid, and Pneumonia vaccinations are available on the Athens campus


The Benefits Office is excited to team up with Kroger to offer free flu, COVID-19 and pneumonia immunizations to employees covered by the University’s Anthem/CVS Caremark insurance plans.

51ĀŅĀ× announces voluntary separation retirement plan incentive strategy


The 51ĀŅĀ× Board of Trustees approved a resolution authorizing the development of a voluntary separation retirement program for Athens campus faculty.

Drug Free Workplace Reminder 2021


The university must notify faculty and staff annually of its drug and alcohol policies and resources available to those seeking assistance for drug or alcohol issues.
