Exceptionally qualified and prepared students who are seeking to expand their psychology knowledge beyond the undergraduate coursework required for completion of the undergraduate program may apply to complete certain graduate coursework with their bachelorās degree.
In the academic year following completion of their bachelorās degree in Psychology, students should be able to complete their thesis as well as additional graduate coursework to earn their M.S. in Psychological Science.
How It Works
Undergraduate students with an interest in pursuing a masterās degree in psychology may apply to complete certain graduate coursework while earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology. Eligible students can apply for conditional admission to the M.S. in Psychological Science program and may begin graduate courses after completing at least 75 credit hours. Students are expected to finish their B.S. degree in Psychology in the fall semester of their senior year.
Start with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology
Take 4 graduate courses while earning your bachelorās degree by fall of your senior year.
Finish with a Master's Degree in Psychological Science
Start your graduate program in fall of your senior year and graduate by August of the following year at the latest.

Psychological Science M.S. Degree
The Masterās program in Psychological Science offers an outstanding and distinctive graduate education that prepares students for careers in academic and other professional settings. The program provides the quantitative and methodological expertise to conduct rigorous, cutting-edge research.
Admissions Information
Earn 75 credit hours: Students will be eligible to apply when they have earned or are in-process of completing 75 credit hours as an undergraduate. Students will then be able to apply and be granted conditional admission to the masterās degree program in Psychological Science.
Have a 3.2 GPA: This program is a competitive program for highly qualified individuals. Admissions requirements include a 3.2 cumulative GPA or a 3.0 cumulative GPA with a 3.5 or higher GPA in the most recent 30 credit hours.
Take required courses for the B.S.: Applicants must also have completed PSY 1010, PSY 2110, PSY 2120, and at least three of PSY 2210, PSY 2310, PSY 2410, PSY 2510, and PSY 2710.
Letters of Recommendation: Applicants must obtain a letter of recommendation from a faculty member who is willing to chair the studentās thesis committee contingent on the studentās continued good standing in both the bachelorās and masterās degree programs.
